APlastic Collar Tags Our collar tags are stylish, chew proof and SILENT. They lay flat against the collar and are held in place by a fastener molded into the back that opens and closes to go around the collar. Rivet-On Available in Stainless Steel (matte or mirror finish) or Polished Brass, this durable and permanent rivet-on tag is ideal for dogs that are rough on stuff! These tags are 9/16" wide by 1 & 3/4" long. They fit great on any collar that is 5/8" to 1" wide, and no more than 1/8" in thickness. Different from our Collar ID tags, the Rivet-On tags are a bit more challenging to put on the collar. We send them with rivets so you can attach them to your pet's nylon or leather collar. To attach the rivet-on tag to your pet's collar, first punch two holes in your pet's collar to match the holes on the tag. Place the tag on the collar and slide the rivets though the matched up holes. Snap the rivet caps onto the rivet ends. Use a hammer to tap the rivet and cap together until they are closed snugly around the tag and collar. We suggest placing the tag on cardboard or something else padded while hammering to prevent damage to the front of the tag.
