Pet Collar. What are the materials of construction?

Our collars and leashes are made of heavy braided nylon. Collars include a metal buckle. Leashes included a spring loaded metal clip.

Before ordering collars, please take a snug measurement of your the animal's neck, then add between 2-3 inches. Collars are available in even inch increments only. So, for example, if the neck measures 15", you would add 3" and order our 18" size. If the snug measurement is 16", you would only add 2" and you would still order the 18" size. If the measurement was 17", you would move up to the 20" size.

Collars are available in even inch sizes from 8" through 26". Size 8"-12" will be 3/8" wide, 14"-20" are 5/8" wide, 22"-26" are 1" wide. Cat safety collars are available in 8", 10" or 12" only.

Collars and leashes are available in 12 different colors; blue, red, green, black, purple with white embroidery, or yellow, orange, white, mint, tan, pink and gray with black embroidery. Have a name and/or phone number embroidered for extra safety.

Having your phone number embroidered on one of our collars can provide an extra measure of insurance in case your animal loses his or her tag. Also, many pets do not like to have tags hanging around their necks. Having the phone number embroidered, rather than on a more obtrusive tag, may be a good alternative.

Having an ID tag and one of our embroidered collars is the best ways to ensure the safety of your pets. Animal shelters are full of animals that were turned in as strays because they were not properly identified. Having a microchip inserted requires a trip to the vet. A person finding a lost animal would also have to make a trip to a vet or animal shelter in order to have it scanned. Also, there are different brands of microchips sold and the scanning devices used may not all be compatible with one another. Putting a tattoo on your animal may be a good way to mark it as belonging to you. However, it is usually not an effective way for having someone get in touch with you to return your animal.

You can order a tag and leash as well. Get an extra tag or two for your luggage, kid's back pack, etc. They make great gifts. An attachment ring is included with each tag.
